Gladys Geraldine Moran

Gladys Geraldine Moran, age 91, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on March 9, 2021 at SOVAH Health-Danville.

Mrs. Moran was born on July 10, 1929, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, to the late Cordie Morgan.

Mrs. Moran worked at Dan River Mills for many years before retirement and was of the Holiness Faith. On March 15, 1959, she married her loving husband of many years, John Bruce Moran,  who preceded her in death on May 14, 2010.

Geraldine had a strong faith in God and preached Jesus to everyone she met. It was her desire to see everyone saved. She was a blessing to so many and a true prayer warrior. We take great comfort in knowing that she has made it home. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

Mrs. Moran is survived by her children, Kevin Moran (Brenda), Kennith Moran, and Larry Moran (Debra); granddaughter (her “angel”) , Katelyn Grace Moran; brothers, Lionel Morgan and Charles Morgan; sisters, Gilda Warlick, Dianne Sams (Bill), and Patricia Yancey (Douglas), and numerous special friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Moran was predeceased by one sister, Mary Sue Ballard and a brother, Kenneth Morgan.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2 PM at Danville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Myron Bruce officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 2 to 6 PM at Mrs. Moran’s residence. (231 South Ridge Street, Danville, Virginia 24541 (Apt. 107) ) Parking will be available across the street.
