Helen Hoskins Obituary

Helen Bailey Hoskins, 76, of Pelham, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Wesley Long Hospital from covid, with her family by her side, while listening to her favorite hymn, I’ll Fly Away. She was born on May 9, 1946, to the late Raymond and Sue Crider Bailey.

She was a 1963 graduate of Cobb Memorial High School. While her children were young, she was a homemaker and then she later went to cosmetology school to become a beautician so she could work at home to be there for her family. After her children were older, she worked at Gunn Memorial Public Library, the Caswell County Health Department, and the Piedmont Triad Visitor Center. She loved each one of these jobs, and the friends she made. She also loved all the friends and fellowship she had with her Red Hat Group. Her life was dedicated to her family, and she always put everyone before herself. She was a faithful member of Stateline Baptist Church.

She was married to the late Hubert Hoskins for 49 years who preceded her in death on August 25, 2012. She is survived by her daughter Kathy & Chip Gray of Pelham; sons Jeff Hoskins of Danville; Greg Hoskins (Michelle Sines) of Pelham; and Ryan Hoskins (Amy Lovern) of Pelham; grandchildren: Kaylin Osborne (Joey Wright), Heather Hoskins (Austin Morris), Ashley May (Michael Farmer), Jordan Stanley, Rebekah Hoskins McCullock (Alex), Bailey Gray, Hunter Hoskins (Ryan Barber), Faith Hoskins, Tristan Sines, Baylee Lovern, Zack Lovern, Mason Lovern and great grandchildren Emma and Adam. She is also survived by a brother, Willard Bailey & Sue, and sisters Carolyn Williams & Dan and Gracie Duncan & Donald, and a very special niece Terry Dillion & Vann, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.

She was also predeceased by her brother Bill Bailey, and sisters Bobbie Johnston and Wilda Morris, and her grandson Seth Hoskins.
