Iris Mae Griffith, age 88, died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Danville on July 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Toler and Elizabeth “Betty” Mitchell Toler.
She was a homemaker and a member of Schoolfield Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Griffith is survived by her husband, Eugene Richard Griffith, of Danville, and her daughter, Debra Sue Toler Oakes, of Danville. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Angela Sue Ferrell-Payne, Chastity Lynn Arrington Hudgins, Donna Lynn Toler Bennett, Gary L. Arrington, II, and Johnny Bryant Wilson; Also, siblings, Frances Toler Hazelwood and Margie Ann Spencer; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Tony Dale Toler; and brothers, John Lee Toler and Alfred Toler.
Graveside services for Mrs. Griffith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Schoolfield Cemetery with the Reverend Michael Pressley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Barker Funeral Home, Inc. for funeral the services of Mrs. Griffith.
