James Aquinas Westrick

James Aquinas Westrick, age 62, of Danville, VA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Westrick was born on November 18, 1960, in Colver, PA, a son of the late Betty Marie (McConnell) Westrick and the late Thomas A. Westrick.

Mr. Westrick lived most of his life in Danville and was married to Carolyn Shumate Westrick who survives. He was employed with Commonwealth Senior Living in concierge and was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by his children, Jon Andrew, Joseph, Emily (Steve Kotowski); siblings, Mary Barton (Russ), Bob Westrick, Pat Bezek (Andrew), Mick Westrick (Barbara), Ward Westrick (Ginny), Barbie Longendyke (Kenny), Jane Maruca (Ed), and Chris Bastin (Nelson).  He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Westrick and Andrew Westrick.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bob Brownell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass.
