Jeanette (Harger) Perkins Hunt

Mrs. Jeanette Harger Perkins Hunt, age 88, of 401 Mary Hardy Rd, Cascade, VA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Hunt was born on March 29, 1931, in Danville, VA, to the late Edward Harger and Lillie “Cute” Dickens Harger. Later she married Paul Hunt who preceded her in death.

She worked at Cone Mills as a weaver and attended Cascade Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by her daughter, Vickie Boswell (Pete); granddaughters, Starlett Austin, Crystal Croyle, Charity Boswell and Matt Boswell, Sr.; also, eight Great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Hunt was predeceased by her daughter Marsha Pruitt; brother, Buddy Harger; and her Great-granddaughter, Addison Austin.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 3 PM at Cascade Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Pete Boswell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service inside the church. Interment will follow in the Cascade Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 2628 Huntington Trail, Cascade, VA 24069.
