Jenkins Coatsworth Davis

Mr. Jenkins C. Davis, age 83, died Monday, October 30, 2023 at 12:54pm at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He loved his country, family and baseball; his dog Coco sure will miss his company. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. He retired from Wal-Mart with over 25 years of service. Some of his favorite hobbies were woodworking and taking care of the yard.

A native of Danville, he was born September 16, 1940, son of late Beaulah “Blye” Davis. He was married to Donna Edenfield Davis for 54 years.

Survivors include Mrs. Donna Davis of Danville, Virginia; one son Brian A. Davis (Suzanne) of Princeton, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn “Kate” Davis of Hilton Head, South Carolina and John R. Davis of Lexington, Kentucky. He is also survived by many extended family members.

Funeral services for Mr. Jenkins C. Davis of Danville, Virginia will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1:00pm at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Kelly officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will take place in Danville Memorial Gardens.
