Jerry Ayers

Mr. Jerry Ayers, age 70, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Piney Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Danville.

Mr. Ayers was born on February 23, 1951, in Carroll County, Virginia, to the late Artie Ayers and Mary Elizabeth Chaplain Ayers. He lived most of his life in Danville where he worked as a farmer.

Mr. Ayers is survived by his daughter, Maryann Price; grandchildren, Coty Price and Angel Pelletier; siblings, James Ayers, Wade Ayers, Alice Caudle, Annie Wilkerson, Odessa Southern, and Janet Garner. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers was predeceased by his son, Henry Duncan, and siblings, Harvey Ayers, Roman Ayers, Roy Lee Ayers, and Jimmie Ayers, and Bertie Ayers.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Interment will be private.
