Juanita Craft Pate, age 88, of 163 Rosewood Lane, Danville, VA, died on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at her residence.
Mrs. Pate was born on May 4, 1929, in Rockingham, NC, to the late George Glenn Craft and Mary Crabtree Craft Speight. She was employed at Bassett-Walker as a seamstress until her retirement and was a member of Stokesland United Methodist Church. She was married to Curtis L. Pate Sr. who predeceased her on September 2, 2016. She was the best mom ever.
Mrs. Pate is survived by her children: Candace Hall of Ashville, NC; Mary McClelland (Robert) of Tampa, FL; Curtis Pate, Jr; of the residence; Penelope Marlowe of Scottsville, VA.; Grandchildren: Wade Hall (Helen); David Hall (Louise); Robert McClelland IV; Alex Greene, Roberta Greene, Amy Greene, Wendy Pate, Madeline Marlowe, Samantha Marlowe, Natalie Marlowe; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, John Pate; sisters, Catherine Bryant and Leila Smith; and a brother, Glenn Craft.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Reverend Elizabeth Nordan officiating. Visitation will be held after the service.
