Kaitlyn "Kati" Allen Obituary

Kaitlyn Michelle Allen, known to most as "Kati", went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7th, 2024, following a brief illness.

Kati was born on July 2, 1991, and is the beautiful daughter of Dawn Michelle Warren (Jeremy) and Bradley Reid Allen, Sr. (Hannah). Kati traveled a lot but spent most of her life in Burlington, NC, where she calls home.

Kati was the older sister to her three younger siblings. She loved her brother, Zachary and sister-in-law, Savana. They particularly enjoyed their annual Halloween parties, any place where Kati could dance her heart out! Kati and her only sister, Kennedy, were both very strong women and both fought and beat serious illnesses. Kati was a champion at staying healthy and led the way for Kennedy. Kati was Kennedy's Maid-of-Honor in her wedding to Briston. Kati loved Briston and he was her "go to" on fixing her car and things! Kati shared a special bond with her younger brother, Reid. When he was little, she would be there waiting for him every day after school as his "Big Sister". She loved being his 2nd Mama. He was there anytime she needed her "little Buddy".

Unfortunately, Kati was stricken with many illnesses. She fought a valiant fight and always amazed the doctors and nurses around the world. They often commented that they had never seen someone as strong as Kati because she fought each illness with such grace and determination. Kati was a serious force but right beside her was her Momma, her BFF and Gift from God - as she would often say and post on social media. Together, those two fought the good fight and Kati flourished! Dawn donated part of her liver to give Kati a new chance on life. It was a perfect fit and Kati was able to conquer many more things in her life. Kati went on to graduate from UNC - Chapel Hill, she supported several fire departments, worked in sales and spent life always with a smile! The doctors and nurses cherished Kati for her fight and determination, along with her precious smile and kind heart!

Kati was an amazing person, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. To all who were Blessed to know her, they know they met a genuine, wonderful, kind, smart and funny lady and are better off for it!

Kati is survived by her mom, Dawn Warren; dad, Brad Allen; brothers, Zachary (Savana) and Reid Allen; sister, Kennedy Allen Carver (Briston); nieces, Hayden Allen, Ramsey Dawn Carver and Ella Allen; nephew, Griffin Carver; her beloved fur baby, Mazikeen; and her grandparents, Pat and Brenda Donleyoctt.

She was predeceased by her grandparents; JB and Judy Allen, and Ray De Frates; her uncle, Greg DeFrates; and Fur babies Romeo and Lilly.
