Mr. Landon Waller, age 86, of 150 Acorn Oaks Drive, Salisbury, NC 28146, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his home in Salisbury.
Mr. Waller was born on December 19, 1935, in Danville, to the late Garland Waller and Flossie Goad. He bravely served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army, and served as a Tank Commander on the Border Patrol in Germany, and as a Reconnaissance Pilot.
He was employed with Dan River as a long-distance truck driver until his retirement.
Mr. Waller is survived by his wife, Phyllis Stewart Waller; his son Jay Landon Waller, daughter-in-law Valerie Waller; stepdaughter Lisa Campbell; stepdaughter Jennifer Ghent and her husband Curtis Ghent; stepdaughter Andrea Helms and her husband Gene Helms; grandchildren Victoria Waller, Jacob Moore, Nicolas Moore, Travis Woldt, Chelsey Woldt, Sara Campbell, Sonya Campbell, Tesla Russell, James Russell, Curtis Ghent, Jr., Kenny Ghent, Halie Ghent, Nicklas Helms and Lillian Helms.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Waller was predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Henderson Waller; daughter, Jayne Moore; stepdaughter, Anita Asher.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home in Danville, Virginia, with the funeral services be conducted immediately following at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
