Leroy Saunders Kirks

Mr. Leroy Saunders Kirks, age 77, of Cascade, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 03, 2019 at SOVAH Health-Danville.

He was born on May 12, 1942, in Pittsylvania Co., VA, to the late William Robert Kirks and Bessie Thelma Scearce Kirks.

Before his retirement, Mr. Kirks worked as an equipment operator for Riverside Equipment and was of the Baptist faith

He is survived by his wife, Connie Anderson Kirks, of the residence; children, Leroy Kirks, Jr.; Tony Craig Kirks; Susan K. Kirks; Kelly K. Crowder; and Emily Hughes; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Kirks and Earl Kirks; and sisters, Vernice Denny (Ellis); Florence Hylton (Eual), Betty Wells; and Sylvia Yeatts (Harry).

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kirks was predeceased by grandson, Christopher Matherly; brother, Buddy W. Kirks; and daughter, Debra Lynn Walden

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 07, 2019 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Austin Merricks officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 06, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home.
