Linda Crumpton Easley, 81, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. A lifelong resident of Danville, Linda was born on September 4, 1944, to the late Ed Crumpton and Nannie Lou Carter Crumpton.
Linda spent her professional career serving as a dedicated secretary in the local textile industry. Known for her sharp wit and warmth, she was a woman who truly appreciated the finer things in life—from the history found in antiques to the thrill of a shopping trip. She was a gifted conversationalist who could make anyone feel at home and held a deep, lifelong compassion for animals.
A faithful member of Stokesland United Methodist Church, Linda found great comfort and community in her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Luann Jordan. Her memory will be cherished by her brother, Eddie Crumpton; her nieces, Sophia Grace Crumpton and Abigail Marley; and the many friends she made throughout her life.
A graveside service to honor Linda’s life will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Danville, VA, on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM
