Linda Reynolds Hudgins, age 74, of Danville, Virginia, was promoted to her heavenly home this past Monday, April 24, 2023, from Beacon Place in Greensboro, NC. Born on August 31, 1948, in Danville, VA, to Rachel Arlene Netzer and the late Julian Wade Reynolds, she is survived by her mother and sisters Jan Snider (Carl) and Kaye Pokrant (Gary) of Maryland. In addition to her father, Linda was predeceased by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Hudgins, and sister, Jeanne Williams.
She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Danville, VA, attending for many years until her declining health. An active member, participating in the children’s puppet, music, and women’s ministries, she also volunteered in the jail ministry.
Linda graduated from Danville Community College in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Accounting and Business Management. In 2005, she received a certificate in Web Design, also from Danville Community College. Linda worked in the Learning Assistance Center at Danville Community College as a tutor in Accounting, Basic Math, English, and Web Design. She took a special interest in her students. Her tutoring skills were precise and meticulous, with many attributing her approach to their passing grades. She also worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block of Danville, VA.
A celebration of Life for Linda will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2023 at 2:00PM at Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dry Fork, VA.
