Mrs. Lucille Buckner Gravely, age 92, of Danville, departed this life for her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Blumenthal Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro, NC. Lucille was born in Danville on December 10, 1928, to the late Edgar Allen Buckner, Jr. and Virgie Mae Simpson Buckner. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She retired from Dan River, Inc. where she had worked for over 45 years, and was a member of the Dan River Retirees Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gravely was predeceased by her first husband, Donald O. Fouts, and her second husband, Lance Boyd Gravely; her sons, Paul Wayne Fouts and Gary E. Fouts; her daughter, Donna Kay Fouts Adkins; a sister, Alice C. Curtin, and a brother, Buddy A. Carr. Surviving Mrs. Gravely is one sister, Jennie C. McCuster; grandchildren, Dawn West, Donald Fouts, Michael Adkins and Jonathan Call; and several great-grandchildren.
Due to the coronavirus, a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Epilepsy Society, 135 S. a Salle Street, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL, 60603. Barker Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Gravely family.
