Madelean Marshall Meeks

Mrs. Madelean Marshall Meeks, age 89, of 168 Lovelace Road, Pelham, North Carolina, 27311, entered her heavenly home on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Mrs. Meeks was born on January 26, 1933, in Pelham, to the late Joseph C. Marshall and Hassie M. Reece Marshall.

Mrs. Meeks worked in the Food Lion bakery as a cake decorator before retirement and was a faithful member of True Gospel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by her children, Joseph Meeks (Ginger), Carolyn Meeks; grandchildren, Shannon Gleason (Jerry), Amber Meeks, Cody Meeks (Heather), Amanda Cody (Kit), Mark Meeks, Jr.; 12 great grandchildren; brother, James Marshall (Marie); niece, Shirley Hancock; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Meeks; and special nephew, Avery Marshall.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meeks was predeceased by her husband, Marion Meeks, and sons, Mark David Meeks, and Ronald Douglas Meeks.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 14, 2022, at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Jim McGough and Reverend Avery Marshall officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lively Stones Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
