Marie H Tickle

Marie H. Tickle, age 73, of Danville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 07, 2022, at Piney Forest Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Tickle was born on October 7, 1948, a daughter of the late Harvey Lee Holland and Deliah Stephens Holland. She lived her life in Danville where she was employed with CIT as an invoicing clerk until her retirement. She was married to Lonnie D. Tickle who survives and as a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Tickle loved to sing in the choir at her church and work in her flower garden. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Brian Scott Tickle; grandchildren, Amber Nicole Brooks, Dylan Robertson, Garrett Scott Tickle, and Brandon Scott Tickle; her special great grandchildren, Camryn Brooks, Alexis Brooks and Olivia Brooks; brothers, Lee Holland and Charles Holland; and sister, Faye Kendrick.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Robertson; sisters, Claudine Brown and Frances Adkins; and brother, Frank William Holland.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM in Danville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Walter Yancey officiating.
