Beloved son, brother, and uncle, Mason Lee Wells, 59, of 133 Hopkins Street, Danville, VA, passed away on September 27, 2021, at Duke Hospital, from complications of a stroke suffered the previous week. Mason was born on January 13, 1962 in Danville, son of Joyce Perdue Wells, and the late Billy W. Wells.
In addition to his mother, Mason is survived by his sister, Robin W. Shields, and dearly loved niece, Maekayla Wells. He was predeceased by his brother, Brian Wells; his grandparents, Ray and Elsie Perdue, and Robert and Verlie Wells; and his uncle, Jack Wells.
Mason loved sports, especially baseball, the Cowboys, NASCAR, and fishing. He was an organ donor and his eyes were donated so someone could see again. He was saved at an early age, and his family will see him again one day. He was dearly beloved, and will be missed so much.
Upon Mason’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family will have a gathering to share memories of Mason, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the residence, 133 Hopkins Street, Danville. ALL IS WELCOME.
