Minnie Andrews Parker

Minnie Andrews Parker age 90, of Gretna, Virginia, went to meet the love of her life, Dewey Odell Parker, on Friday September 9, 2022.

She was born on April 14, 1932, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late John Mark Andrews and Mattie Reynolds Andrews.

Minnie is survived by daughters, Kathy P. Shelton of Hurt, VA and Nancy Parsons (Carl) of Chatham, VA; Grandchildren, Curt Shelton (Tanya), Mary Catherine Parsons, David Parsons (Rebecca), Greg Parsons (Maureen); Great-Grandchildren, Brittney Boone (Bronson), Celest Walker (Byron), Justin Shelton, Claire Parsons, Madelyn Parsons, Caroline Parsons, Elizabeth Parsons; Great-Great Grandchildren, Emery Boone, Flint Boone, Rhett Boone, Blaze Walker and Harper Walker; Sister, Arlene Bowling and Brother, Herman Andrews.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Parker was predeceased by her Brothers, Cedric, Joe, Bill and Jackie Andrews and her sister, Anna Meadows.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, and preparing meals for her family. She was a member of The Zion Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday September 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Zion Methodist Church, 3660 Zion Road, Gretna, VA with Pastor Jason Andrews and Pastor Hosub Sung. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. At other times the family will be at the residence. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
