Miss June Tempest Soyars

Miss June Tempest Soyars, age 91, of Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on April 28, 1932, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Edd Withers Soyars and Maggie Owen Soyars.

Before her retirement, Miss Soyars worked as a bookkeeper for James I. Pritchett and Sons, Inc. and was a member of Vandola Baptist Church.

She is survived by numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 26, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Vandola Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Bortz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
