Nathan Wyatt Obituary

Nathan Earl Wyatt, age 76, of Danville, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Wyatt was born on January 5, 1947, in Danville, VA, a son of the late, Earl Maxwell Wyatt and Virginia Gauldin Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt lived his life in Danville where he worked as a mechanic with Corning Glass for over 30 years until his retirement. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was married to Judy Hancock Wyatt who preceded him in death. He would always do anything for anyone in need and he will be greatly missed. Mr. Wyatt was of the Baptist faith.    

Mr. Wyatt is survived by his daughter, Paula Wyatt Helms (David); grandchildren, Lindsey Thorne, Jessica Knowles, Justin Knowles, Amber Wyatt, and Michael Helms; brother, Hugh Wyatt and his two dogs, Maggie and Milo.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Earl Jay Wyatt; daughter, Wendy Carol Knowles; brother, Ernest Wyatt and sister, Frances McCoy.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Kurt Faison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy.
