Priscilla Slayton

Priscilla Dare Slayton age 95, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Monday January 30, 2023 at Hospice of Rockingham Co, in Reidsville, North Carolina.

Priscilla was born on February 24, 1927, to the late Andrew Barbour and Annie Snow Barbour.

Priscilla taught Sunday school for 50 years, and was a member of Schoolfield Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 60 years. Her love for the Lord was the most important thing in her life.

Priscilla is survived by her sons, Weldon Slayton, Kenneth Joe Slayton (Joann), and Marlow Slayton (Wilma); daughter, Scarlett Simmons (Julian); 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Priscilla was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Robert L. Slayton; three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 3rd, at 11 am at Danville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Mike Pressley and Reverend Roger Collins officiating.
