Raymond P Owens

Mr. Raymond P. Owens, age 70, of Danville, Virginia, passed on July 6, 2020 at Sovah hospital in Danville.

Mr. Owens was born on September 11, 1949, in Montgomery County, Virginia, to the late Walter Owens and Lucille King. He lived his life in Danville where he worked in maintenance for Bolton Real Estate Company until his retirement.

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife, Velvet Virginia Owens; son, Raymond Owens, Jr.; brothers, Robert Owens, Tommy Owens, Melvin Owens and Wayne Owens; sisters, Mary Jane Owens, Connie Dabbs, Wanda Vernon (James) and Margaret Willis; brother-in-law, Tim Evans (Barbara); sister-in-law, Violet Bryant (Al); mother-in-law, Dorothy Reese; and best friend, Luther Hite.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Mr. Owens was predeceased by his brother Johnny Owens.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
