Obituary
Rebecca Nelson Walker, age 96, of Ozark, AL, formerly of Danville, VA, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Walker was born on October 5, 1926, a daughter of the late Ernest C. Nelson and Myrtle Parker Nelson.
Mrs. Walker lived most of her life in Danville and was baptized at age 13, as Jehovah Witness. She was a graduate of Schoolfield High School and was married to Garland W. Walker who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughters, Diane Pool {Brian} and Deborah Johnston; sister, Penny Heuser; grandchildren; Rebecca Bass {Jamie}, Troy Hagler {Adriane} and Nicole Coats {Sam}; Eight Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild; sister-in-law, Elaine Walker Gunn and by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, September 9,2023 at 11 AM in Highland Burial Park with Elder Albert Valentine and Elder John Searcy officiating.
