Richard Blaine Pollard (Rich), 60, of 236 Taylor Street, Danville, died suddenly on Friday, May 19, 2023. He was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
He was born August 27, 1962, in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Clyde F. Pollard and Judith A. Pollard. After Blaine graduated from Central High School in 1980, he went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating with a degree in architecture, he enlisted in the United States Navy. His first job was at Lockheed Support Systems as an aircraft mechanic. He formed his own company, Yes We Can Construction.
In 2001, Blaine met Jennifer and Jennifer went on to have one child, Thea Blayne Pollard. They were the loves of his life.
Blaine enjoyed being a Boy Scout leader. He loved boating, fishing, and designing and constructing homes and cars.
Blaine was predeceased by Clyde F. Pollard, Timothy Pollard, and step-son, Hunter Harrison. He is survived by his spouse, Jennifer, daughter Thea, of the home. Two sisters: Tina Pollard of Martinsburg, and Sharby Shriver and husband Joe of Hopewell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Swicegood Funeral Home on Friday, May 26 at 3 pm. Visitation will be from 2-3pm. Pastor Ryan Ware will be officiating the service. Jennifer will be receiving friends and family at the residence.
