Mr. Robert Ellis Denny, Jr., age 89, of Yanceyville, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at SOVA Health--Danville.

He was born on June 17, 1932, in Leasburg, NC, to the late Robert Ellis Denny, Sr. and Edna Clayton Denny.

Before his retirement, Mr. Denny was the owner/operator of Denny Oil Company for thirty years. He enjoyed flying his airplane, camping, and riding his golf cart daily.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vernice Kirks Denny of the residence; sons, Keith Denny and David Denny both of Yanceyville, NC; six grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Denny Thomas, of Roanoke, VA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Denny was predeceased by his daughter, Gaynell Denny.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Mt. View Cemetery with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating.
