Ruth (Adkins) Walker

Ruth A. Walker, 87 years old, of Ruffin, NC, passed away on Sunday February 19, 2023, at Annie Penn Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Ossie J. Walker, Jr. for 66 years; daughter, Myra Burgess (Charles) of Eden; son, Rodney Walker (Donna) of Ruffin; grandchildren, Brad Burgess (Tanya) of Eden, Michael Griggs (Paige) of Ruffin and Diane Willard of Danville; great grandchildren, Brook Forrest (Mikey) and Scottie Burgess all of Eden, Meagan and Andy Miller of Virginia, Aubrie Griggs of Ruffin and Sedarian Willard of Danville; great great grandchild, Naomi Forrest of Eden.

She was predeceased by her parents, Janie A. Mitchell and Robert B. Adkins; sister, Alice Worley; brother, Robert Adkins, Jr.; and daughter, Beth Layne.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lee Eggers officiating.
