Obituary
Mrs. Sandra Taylor Barksdale, age 78, of Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 05, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald Barksdale.
She was born on January 29, 1945, in Danville, VA, to the late Johnny Kent Taylor and Frances Hawker Taylor.
Mrs. Barksdale was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Ronald Wayne Barksdale on July 28, 1962, who survives. In their spare time, Ronnie and Sandra enjoyed holiday antique shows and made many new friends, during these shows.
Ronnie and Sandra had three children together: Michael Barksdale, Christy L. Vernon, and the late Stephen Chad Barksdale. In addition, they had five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her brother, Dan K. Taylor.
Due to Covid, graveside services for family members ONLY will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Taylor Family Cemetery located on WALNUT CREEK RD. IN DANVILLE, VA with Jonathan Taylor officiating.
