Shirley Massey Obituary
Shirley Walker Massey, age 84, of Danville, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at UNC-Eden Hospital.
Mrs. Massey was born on April 16, 1936, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Percy Walker and Mamie Saul Walker.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Mrs. Massey is survived by her husband of 61 years, Claude Wayne Massey; children: Teresa Wells (Stan); Debra Yeatts (Ronald); Doug Ware; David Massey; and Tim Massey; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Otha Walker (Kat); and sister, Lottie Gee.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Massey was predeceased by her brothers, Richard Walker and Garland Walker.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 02, 2021 in Schoolfield Cemetery with Reverend Joe Bryant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
