Shirley (Mann) Perkins

Mrs. Shirley M. Perkins, age 84, of Danville, Va., passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at SOVAH Health-Danville.

She was born on February 28, 1937, in Danville, Va., to the late Floyd W. Mann and Ethel Edwards Mann.

Mrs. Perkins was a homemaker and was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Debra Perkins, of Danville, Va. and Daryl Keith Perkins and his wife, Ladonna, of Keeling, Va.; grandchildren, Daryl Keith Perkins II, Trevor Payne, Kristen Mayhew (James), all of Danville, Va., and Paige Perkins, of Keeling, Va.; great-grandchildren, Kadence Payne, Gunner Payne, Makenzye Mayhew, and Erin Payne, all of Danville, Va., and Kaiden Cooper, of Keeling, Va.; and three step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Perkins was predeceased by her husband, Thomas B. Perkins; brothers, Claude Mann and Clarence Mann; and sister, Ruth Mann.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Barker Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Yeaman officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Debra, 430 Brooke Dr., Danville, Va.
