Susan Lawson Hopkins

Susan Lawson Hopkins, age 67, of Dry Fork, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at her residence. 

Susan was born in Durham, NC on December 6, 1954, to the late Roy M. Lawson and Elaine Smith Lawson.  She was married to Sherman Hopkins who predeceased her in death.  She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith.   In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jason H. Blane, Sr., three brothers, Mike Lawson, Steve Lawson and Randy Lawson and a sister, Linda Milam. 

Surviving Susan is her son, Jamie Blane, Sr.(Brenda), of Chatham, VA;  two brothers, Marvin Motley(Doris) and Johnny Lawson(Shannon), and a sister Sandra Higgins(Steve);  two grandsons, Jamie Blane, Jr. and Jason Blane, Jr.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daryl Joyce officiating.  Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
