Syble Harriett Keatts

Syble Harriett Beck Keatts, age 97, of Cascade, VA, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the last survivor of her generation.

She was born on June 19, 1926, in Pittsylvania County, a daughter of the late, Willie Leonard Beck and Macie Aaron Beck.

Mrs. Keatts lived her life in Cascade where she was a homemaker. She was married to the late Clay Haley Keatts, Sr. and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.

She   is survived by her sons, Monte Keatts (Debbie), Clay H. Keatts, Jr. (Billie- dec.), Samuel Keatts (Laura), Thomas Keatts (Myra), John Keatts (Angela) and Jefferson Keatts (Deborah); nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Woodrow Beck, Elmo Beck, Chester Beck, Samuel Beck, Ruth Bryant, Ester Moore, and Annie Beck.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11 AM at Welcome Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Woods officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence.  Interment will follow in the Keatts Family Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and special caregivers, Cynthia Taylor and daughters-in-law Angela Keatts and Myra Keatts.
