Mrs. Thelma Haskins Dishman Davis, age 101, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on November 6, 2021, at Piney Forest Health and Rehab Center in Danville.
Mrs. Davis was born on October 18, 1920, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Millard Haskins and Ellen Hammock Haskins. She worked at Dan River Mills as a machine operator for many years before retirement and was a member of Boone Chapel in Franklin County, Virginia. She first married Andrew Dishman who preceded her in death in 1986 and later married the late Luther Davis who preceded her in death on June 19th, 1997.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Ann Parsons (Wayne) and Wayne Dishman (Lavada); three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her siblings, Vera Oakes, Mary Phelps, Lillian Oakes; Clinton Haskins, Raymond Haskins, Garnett Haskins, Elmo Haskins, Charlie S. Haskins, Otha Coleman Haskins.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Danville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Daryl Joyce officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside.
