Verona Geraldine Haymore Wilson

Mrs. Verona Geraldine Haymore Wilson, age 93, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center of Danville.

Mrs. Wilson was born on May 23, 1927, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Arnold James Wall and Elizabeth Sue Weatherford Wall. She lived her life in Danville where she worked at Dan River Mills until retirement.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sons, Michael Haymore (Regina) and Donald Haymore (Rhonda Bowman); grandchildren, Abby Rae Archer (John) and Ryan Haymore (Brandi); great grandchildren, Owen Patrick Archer and Tate Marion Archer; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Haymore and Betty Haymore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Wilson; and siblings, James L. Wall, Carolyn Hancock, Norma Martin and Junior Wall.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2 PM at Highland Burial Park with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating.
