Wendy (Cates) Meadows

Ms. Wendy Cates Meadows, age 53, of Providence, NC, passed away unexpectedly, as a result of an automobile accident, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Danville, VA.

Ms. Meadows was born on April 22, 1966, in Eden, NC, to the late Richard Owen Cates and Brenda Cates Robinson.

She was of the Christian faith. She was known by her grandson as “Grammy”.

Ms. Meadows is survived by her children, Chris Meadows and Chelsea Moss (Chris); grandson, Jacob Moss; sister, Lisa Gill (Bobby); and brother Mark Cates.

In addition to her parents Ms. Meadows was predeceased by her step-father, Roger Robinson and long-time companion, Teddie Hendrix.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 4 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Becky Moss and Rev. Britt Groan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will meet at 7905 Spring Garden Rd., Blairs, VA 24527.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, 406 Seminole Dr, Danville, VA 24540 or First Baptist Church of Yanceyville, 378 W Church St, Yanceyville, NC 27379.
