William Hopson Greene

William Hopson Greene, age 77, of 39 Baldwin St., Danville, VA, died on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at UNC Chapel Hill.

Mr. Greene was born in Danville, VA, on June 29, 1941, a son of the late George Lester Greene and Helen Willis Greene. He lived most of his life in Danville where we was employed as an auto technician. Mr. Greene was married to Rena Mae Greene who survives and was a charter member of Timberlake Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Ame Zimmerman; son, Ritchie Greene; granddaughter, Roselyn Zimmerman; and by a sister, Jean Donsbach.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Yancey and Rev. James Truax officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Schoolfield Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 39 Baldwin St., Danville, VA.
