Delma Ann Doss Powell, age 80,  of 402 Terry Avenue, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Roman Eagle Health & Rehab Center.  Born in Renan, VA on March 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Bryant Doss and Dora White Doss.  On November 17, 1951, she married Roy Howard Powell who survives her.  She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church and had worked in the accounting department of Belk’s for  35 years.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Powell is survived by her son, Kenny  Powell and his wife, Teresa Moser Powell, of Danville; her grandson, Peyton Kent Powell and his wife, Priscilla,  of New York City, and her granddaughter, Kelly Dawn Powell of Richmond.  Other survivors include her brothers, James Doss and his wife, Joyce, of Hampton, VA., Lacy Ridgeway and his wife, Betty, of Virginia Beach, VA, Curtis Doss and his wife, Nancy, of Blue Ridge, VA, and Kenneth Doss and his wife, Margaret, of Rustburg, VA.  Funeral services for Mrs. Powell will be held at First Pentecost Holiness Church at 11:00 a.m.  on Friday, September 4, 2015, with the Rev.
