Donald Ray Clark, age 79, of Rocky Mount, NC, died on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Rocky Mount Rehabilitation.

Mr. Clark was born on March 1, 1938 in Danville, VA, a son of the late Charles H. Clark and Myrtle Wells Clark. He lived his early life in Danville and later in Rocky Mount, NC where he was employed as a hairdresser. Mr. Clark was a member of the NCA Hairdresser Association and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Clark is survived by his nieces and nephews: Mike Burton, Tommy Burton, Janice Hancock, Tim Clark, Richie Alcorn, Vicki Williams, Ann Robertson and Doug Doss, along with their spouses and 10 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind many close friends and loyal customers! A special thanks to his close friends, Elsie Pittman, Barbara Dozier, and Patricia Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charles H. Clark, Jr.; and three sisters, Tina Doss, Virginia Burton and Velina Alcorn and nephew Steve Clark.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Highland Burial Park with Pastor Douglas Doss officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home and at other times at 4345 Golf Club Road, Danville, VA 24540.
