Earl Wayne Goforth, age 75, of 211 Setliff St., Danville, VA, died on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on December 17, 1940, in Danville, VA, to the late Joseph W. Goforth and Ethel Gentry Goforth.

Mr. Goforth worked at Goodyear for 30 years before his retirement and was of the Baptist faith. He was the last member of his immediate family. In addition, Mr. Goforth served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his special friend, Linda Scearce; and many friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents Mr. Goforth was predeceased by his brothers, Bruce and Curtis Goforth.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p .m.  on Wednesday, February 17 2016 at Mt. View Cemetery with Rev. David Turbyfill officiating. The family will receive friends at 209 Setliff St., Danville, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
