Hazel Jacqueline Arnold Suit, age 87, resident of Roman Eagle Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2016, after being in declining health for the past two years.

 Born on October 25, 1928, in Schoolfield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nile N. Arnold and Ester Arnold Dickens. Mrs. Suit lived her entire life in Danville, VA, where she worked at Dan River Mills. She was a graduate of Schoolfield High School. On February 4, 1956, she married Thomas Russell Suit who preceded her in death on March 22, 2016. She was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church.

 Mrs. Suit is survived by three daughters, Cathy Suit Korte and husband Jim of Katy, TX, Patricia Suit Carson and husband Barry of Danville, VA, and Jettie Suit King and husband Paul of Goode, VA; sister, Betty Jones of Danville, VA; eight grandchildren, Benji Crawford, Kayla Crawford, Lindsey Korte, Eric Korte, Curtis King, Dalton King, Thomas King and John King; and two great grandsons, Branson Crawford and Ethan Crawford. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sisters, Madeline Arnold, Helen Anderson and Shirley Arnold Elliott; one brother, Wesley Arnold; brother-in-law’s, John B. Elliott, Swen Anderson and Harold Jones; and one sister-in-law, Aileen Arnold.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Lackey and Pastor Austin Merricks officiating. Interment will follow the service in Schoolfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.  At other times the family will be at the residence of Mrs. Suit’s daughter and son-in-law Trish and Barry Carson at 101 Forestroad Dr. Danville, VA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Faith Memorial Baptist Church.
