Helene Bragg Ferrell, age 95, of 132 Chatham Court, Danville, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones on Tuesday, February 24, 2014, at her residence.  Born in Danville on July 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Bragg and the late Clara Lillian Taylor Bragg.  On March 20, 1940, she married Henry O. Ferrell , Jr., who predeceased her on May 19, 2010.  She lived her entire life in Danville and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker and the last member of her generation.

Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her son, Robert A. “Bobby” Ferrell and his wife, Shirle Marie Ferrell, of Danville; three grandchildren, Robert A. Ferrell, II and his wife, Kristi, Monte Cassidy and husband, Danny, and Shannon Perrow,  and wife Sabrina; three great grandchildren, Taylor and Evan Ferrell and Matthew Grant.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Ferrell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm in Barker Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2015 with the Reverend Freddie Vicks officiating.  The family will be receiving at the residence.  Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
