John Smith Dixon Jr., age 86, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Riverside Nursing Home. He was born on January 03, 1929 to the late John Smith Dixon Sr. and Gracie I. Dixon.

He lived his whole life in Pittsylvania County, VA. Mr. Dixon loved working on car’s, lawn mowers, and tractor’s. He also worked on farms.

Mr. Dixon is survived by one sister, Judy Dixon Phelps of Danville and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Margie Garrett and three brothers, Gene Dixon, Charlie Dixon, and William Dixon.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dixon Family Cemetery located on Inman Rd in Brosville with the Rev. Gilmore Hundley officiating.

The family would like to thank all his care givers at Riverside Nursing Home.
