Ms. Joyce Doss Jessup, age 68, of Danville, VA, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Jessup was born on March 31, 1949, in Danville, VA, to the late Richard Hugh Doss and Dorothy Hayes Doss. She worked in the insurance industry and was of the Baptist Faith.

Ms. Jessup is survived by her sister, Annette Chesher; two nephews, Timothy Dakota Chesher, and Aubrey Thomas Wrenn; one niece, Briana Nicole Chesher; her partner of 25 years, Freddie Henderson; two uncles; one aunt and her beloved Corgie, Dixie Belle.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Hairston officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery.
