Mrs. Louise Wilkerson Bray, age 82, of 268 Pruitt Road, Pelham, NC 27311, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Riverside Health Care, Danville, VA.

Mrs. Bray was born on January 18, 1934, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Levi Thomas Wilkerson and Minnie Berta Sue Lovelace Wilkerson.

She worked in the textile industry at Durham Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Bray is survived by her children, Virginia B. Aherron (Dennis) of Alton, VA and William David Bray of Pelham, NC; siblings, Bud and Darrell Wilkerson, and Shirley Myers; grandchildren, Michael (Brandy), Amy and Taylor Aherron; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Hannah Louise Aherron.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Bray was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Bray; siblings, Clarence, Thomas, Marvin, Ray, and Roy Wilkerson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 8, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home at 2pm with Reverend Wayne Wallace officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 6pm until 7:30pm. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Virginia Aherron 2236 Piney Grove Road, Alton, VA. Interment will follow in Wilkerson Family Cemetery, Danville, VA.
