Mrs. Odester Robertson Mayhew, age 94, of 2526 N Main St., Danville, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on November 12, 1923, in Franklin County, VA, to the late John L. Robertson and Daffie Nimmo Robertson.

Mrs. Mayhew was a homemaker and a member of Melville Avenue Baptist Church, where she served as secretary for the Junior Sunday School Department.

She is survived by her son, Donnie E. Mayhew and his wife, Deborah, of North Port, FL; daughter, Betty Mayhew Davis and her husband, Joe, of Ringgold, VA; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Mayhew was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Mayhew.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Duane Blevins officiating.
