Ralph Clark Ketchum, age 81, of 732 Holland Rd., Danville, VA, passed away on November 11, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on March 11, 1935, in Abingdon, VA, to the late Ernest Clyde Ketchum and Ora Bowman Ketchum.

Mr. Ketchum worked at Dan River Mills before his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Cassady; and Mary Lou Cook and husband Thomas all of Pelham, NC; brother, Kenneth Ketchum of Danville, VA; sister-in-law, Nancy Ketchum of Danville, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Also, he is survived by his beloved pets, Peanut, Spotty, Blackie, and Ginger.

In addition to his parents Mr. Ketchum was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Lynskey Ketchum; brother, Harold Ketchum; and brother-in-law, Elree Cassady.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Lynskey Family Cemetery, Lynskey Farm Road, Danville, VA 24541with Rev. Pete Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his sister, Dorothy Cassady, 3149 Old Hwy 29, Pelham, NC 27311.
