Richard Allen Carter, age 56, of 18 Still Street, Danville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Carter was born on October 9, 1960, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Charles Carter and Ruby Koke Carter. He worked at K&M Construction and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Tracy Jackson Carter of the residence; three daughters, Bridgett Martin (John), Christy Hogan, Holly Wilson and their mother, Vickie Carter; a step-daughter, Makayla Bailey; mother-in-law, Vickie Jackson; and many good friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday February 10, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the residence.
