Rieta Bausch Calvert, age 88, of 208 Parkway Drive, Danville, VA, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Calvert was born on May 2, 1928, in Ennis, Montana, a daughter of the late Charlie Bausch and Mammie Lee Kinder Bausch.

She lived in Danville since 1945 and worked at Dan River Mills for 48 years. She was of the Methodist Faith and a member of Brosville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Calvert is survived by her son, Cecil Calvert, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rachel Galo Calvert of Keeling, VA; brother, David Charles Bausch of CA; grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Calvert and Chelce Mae Calvert.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Calvert is predeceased by her husband, Cecil A. Calvert, Sr.; her brother, Gayle Eugen Bovee, Sr.; sister, Irma Elain Sprout; and special friend, Clay Gauldin.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11am at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Intek Oh officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday night, March 14, 2017 from 7pm until 9pm at Swicegood Funeral Home. Interment will follow funeral services at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA.
