Mr. Ronald E. Clay, age 68, of Pelham, NC, died on April 30, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Clay was born on December 21, 1947, in Danville, VA, to the late Charles W. and Carrie Colvard Clay.

He worked at Goodyear for 33 years before his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Clay is survived by his wife Brenda Crayton Clay; children, Carol Campbell and husband Wayne of Danville, and Veronica Stanley and husband Carl of Providence, NC, Tabitha Martin of Danville, VA and Joy Runyon and husband Billy of Chatham, VA; grandchildren, L.T. Stanley and wife Kristin (Navy), Nickee Campbell, Jackson Stanley, Ronald Stanley, Cerenity Runyon, Jay Runyon, and Zach Runyon; great grand-children, Lily Campbell, Madison Runyon and Will Runyon; brothers, Billy Clay and wife Lavorne, David Clay and wife Suzy, and Tommy Clay.

In addition to his parents Mr. Clay was predeceased by his brother, Charles Clay and his sister, Anita Ann Clay.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, May 2, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel at 7 pm. Visitation will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 6 pm until 7 pm.
