I am sending sincere condolences for your loss. Meditating on the Bible's sure promise of the resurrection (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) can do much to comfort you and help you to cope. It was not God's purpose for us to die. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that He has put "eternity into our hearts." It is still His purpose for us to live forever here on a Paradisaic earth, free from sickness and death (Psalm 37:11, 29; Revelation 21:3,4).
