Mr. William Kenneth Thomas, 89, of 132 Sunset Street, Danville, Virginia, died on September 1, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, Virginia.

Mr. Thomas was born on October 9, 1925, in Danville, Virginia, to the late William Mason Thomas and Lessie Plaster Thomas.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy, self-employed as well driller prior to his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his daughters, Patricia Bledsoe of Danville, Penny Brummett and husband Darryl of Myrtle Beach, S.C., his son, Kelly Thomas and wife Angel of Pelham, N.C., Grandchildren; Jason Brummett, Jennifer Warnock, Kody Thomas, Randall Thomas, Kenneth Wayne Moser, Stephen Lynn Moser,  Melissa Dawn Hughes.  Great grandchildren;  D.J. Brummett, Makenzie Brummett, Sully Warnock, Ben Warnock, Annabelle Warnock, Chelsea Dawn Sturdivant, Kenna Nichole Moser, Chasity Nichole Haymore.

In addition to his parents Mr. Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Lucy Hawkins Thomas.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Schoolfield Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Reverend Darryl Brummett officiating.  The Family will be at the residence 132 Sunset Street, Danville, VA 24541.
